An exceptional chalet in Gérardmer

An unforgettable stay above Lake Gérardmer

Le Flocon du Lac overlooks the town of Gérardmer, with open views across the Vosges forests, the lake and the valley below.

The atmosphere hits you at the door: pale wood, high ceilings, light running the full length of the living space. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the valley like a painting, and in fine weather the terrace becomes an extension of the room.

Built for long tables and reunions, the chalet brings thirteen people together without ever feeling cramped. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a generous living room, a games area with a foosball table and, outside, a hot tub facing the peaks to round off the day.

What makes this chalet different

  • Outdoor hot tub facing the Vosges

A four-person spa on the terrace, heated all year round. The best moment of the day — especially when it is snowing.

  • Panoramic views over the lake

Perched above the town, the chalet looks out over Gérardmer. The lake, the valley and the ridge line stretch out in front of you.

  • Five bedrooms, three bathrooms

Two bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom, so several families can share the chalet without giving up privacy.

  • Fully equipped open kitchen

Island, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, raclette grill and stone grill: everything is there to cook for thirteen.

  • Living spaces and a foosball table

A living room with a wood stove, a mezzanine, a table that seats thirteen and a foosball table that is never free for long.

  • Five minutes from everything

The lake and town centre are five minutes away, the La Mauselaine pistes eight minutes, the Route des Crêtes twenty.

The spaces

Three floors, designed so a large group can live together with room to breathe.

01

The living room

Under an exposed timber frame, the living room is built around a large corner sofa and a wood stove. Full-height windows open onto the terrace and frame the valley. It is the room everyone ends up in, book or glass in hand.

02

The dining area and the table for thirteen

A solid wood table seats thirteen in one go, beneath a line of pendant lights. Raclette grill, stone grill and a large outdoor plancha: the chalet is set up for group meals, winter and summer alike.

03

The open kitchen

Central island, generous worktop, oven, dishwasher, American-style fridge and coffee machine. It opens straight onto the terrace and the view, which makes cooking a good deal more enjoyable.

The five bedrooms

Each bedroom has its own character: the yellow room and the green room on the lower floor, two rooms under the eaves upstairs — one with an en-suite bathroom — and a children's room with single beds. All beds are made on arrival.

  • Le Flocon du Lac has so much going for it and we had an excellent family stay: modern, warm decor, bright living spaces, an incredible view over the lake and the forest, good beds, a more than well-equipped kitchen. A great find! Many thanks to the owners for their kindness, and to the concierge service who are always available.

  • An incredible chalet! I recommend it 1000 %, a wonderful place to host family or friends and share unforgettable moments. Being close to the ski slopes is a major plus, and getting into town and down to the lake is very easy. The price is fair and fully justified!
